Main Question:
How do we feel/taste certain things in our dreams even though we are asleep or have never experienced the food or activity? (such as being shot or stabbed, ect)

Here are a few links I found that helped to answer my question (I was not able to properly link the links very well because i am using a phone):
https://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/what-do-lucid-dreams-feel-like.html
This link basically talks about how when sleeping, certain areas of the brain become active and when dreaming (or lucid dreaming) your senses start to become extremely active... things happen by how you expect them to happen (especially if you realize that they are happening, you would gain more control)
https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/dreaming-overview
This link breaks down what/how dreams are (nightmares, daydreaming, ect). It also expresses some theories on why/how we dream. How it relates to my question is it explain on a bit more on how a lucid dream starts and how it works. It even gives a few tips that I thought were interesting.

Lastly this link is about some finding that scientists have found and how the brain activity works during dreams. It also explains more into how to have a Lucid Dream and what it is.
